Concourse (Adult TCK Ministry) is pleased to invite Jamey Lewis to facilitate discussion as we reflect, talk and share at our twelfth annual retreat on the theme of "Relationships with God, self & others."

Jamey in his own words:

Born in Indonesia as the youngest of five children, I grew up on Bali and went to boarding schools in Indonesia and Malaysia. Body surfing, playing Scrabble with Mom and Dad, eating sate and ketupat and slurping es campur in food stalls on the beach, enjoying crazy fun adventures with fellow TCKs — my reservoir of memories is filled with stories of laughter, friendships and an active and culturally engaged life.

But I struggled too, wanting to know where I belonged and where “home” was. Later, after college and graduate school, I returned to Indonesia with a family of my own to pursue my calling to love God and love others. In time, I found that I needed to learn to receive God’s great love for me. And to know that I was worthy of goodness and joy.

Now I currently live in Southern California and am rooted in supportive and caring relationships with family and friends. My wife is a mentor of women who cross cultures and is certified to give grief support. We’ve been married for 39 years and have 3 adult children in California and Portugal.

This adult TCK retreat welcomes all TCKs, those recently graduated from university, young professionals, and those who are older. Please consider joining us.

The retreat provides a safe space for self-reflection, intentional processing, community formation, connection-making, and spiritual and emotional growth and healing. The schedule includes blocks of free time for hanging out and enjoying the camp's recreational activities. The retreat starts at 9:00 p.m. Friday evening and ends after lunch on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. 

We are excited to return for the third time to Michindoh Conference Center in Hillsdale, Michigan. To help a bit with cost, we offer an Early Bird discount until July 15. We don’t want finances to prevent anyone from attending who wants to be there. We have some limited scholarships available provided by gifts from past participants.
