Concourse (Adult TCK Ministry) is pleased to partner with Compass Ministries to offer a Spring Adult TCK retreat in Tampa. We are excited about our retreat speaker, Jim Reed, speaking on “The theology and psychology of resting in Christ.”

Jim’s Bio: Born in Monrovia, Liberia, to missionary parents who helped launch a Christian radio station, Jim left Liberia at 13 with a lasting love of the Atlantic. After attending three high schools, he graduated from the University of Miami, worked in lawn maintenance for a year, and earned an MA in teaching English as a second language from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. There he met and married Beth and entered a Counseling Psychology PhD program. After doing an internship in Columbia, Missouri, the family settled in Tampa in 1988—his thirteenth home—where he worked at the University of South Florida Counseling Center. In 1993, he founded Life Connections Counseling Center, a Christian nonprofit connecting emotional and relational health with spiritual maturity. Now retired, he reads, serves on Christian ministry boards, hunts, spearfishes, and works on his golf game. Like many ATCKs, he feels at home as a guest wherever he goes.

Please join us to hear from Jim and have small group discussions around the theme. The retreat provides a safe space for self-reflection, intentional processing, community formation, connection making, and spiritual and emotional growth and healing. The schedule includes blocks of free time for hanging out and enjoying the camp's recreational activities.

This retreat is open to any Adult TCK over 18 and brings together Adult TCKs from all over as well as TCK Caregivers who have spent decades working with Adult Third Culture Kids.

To help a bit with cost, we offer an Early Bird discount until December 31. We don’t want finances to prevent anyone from attending who wants to be there.
